Blackening of MS is converting the surface of MS in FeO. This is achieved by oxidising MS in mild oxidising solution prepared by adding our product i.e. blackening salt or blackodising salt (800g ) per ltr of water, maintaining the temperature between 125 to 145 C and then immersing the oil and rust free job in this bath. The user need to be careful because the bath is high in caustic content.
We have also developed 2 stage cold process for blackening of MS and SS.

It is a type of conversion coating. Can be porous / granular or plain finish. Phosphating with Oil gives more than 70 hours of salt-spray test.
